Travel Tips

passport and visa +

Many countries require at least 6 months of validity on your passport, even if your trip is short. Some also require at least two empty pages for visas and stamps.

Local emergency number+

Save the local emergency numbers for police, ambulance, and fire services before you go.

notifying the bank+

Some banks automatically block foreign transactions unless they know you’re abroad. Tell them your travel dates to avoid getting stranded without access to your money.

Water+

Even in modern cities, tap water might not be safe for foreigners. Use bottled or filtered water, especially in Mexico, India, and parts of Asia & Africa.

First-aid kit+

Besides the usual painkillers and band-aids, add anti-diarrhea meds, antihistamines, motion sickness pills, rehydration salts, and blister plasters. In some countries, these can be hard to find!

local adapter type+

Make sure you check the plug and voltage requirements for your destination before packing.

luggage security +

If your bag gets lost, a photo makes it much easier for the airline to locate it. Also, put a tag with your name & email inside the suitcase, in case the outer tag falls off.

portable wifi+

Pokefi (portable WiFi) is perfect for frequent travelers. No SIM swapping, works in multiple countries, and connects all your devices. For a single-country trip, a local SIM is cheaper and faster. Buy one at the airport.

Go plunging at Orange Bay
The secrets and surprises Egypt holds are many, and I’m so happy I discovered one of them in Hurghada.

We were two adults and two kids on an all-inclusive trip, staying at a resort hotel with easy access to the beach, great food, and plenty of entertainment. When the resort couldn’t surprise us anymore, we booked day trips; a yacht to Orange Bay, diving by the coral reefs, or a desert safari adventure.

Although the heat was intense at times, the easy access to pools and the ocean was the perfect way to cool down.Maybe you’d like to try a flip off a yacht too?
