The sharm of Dublin
Rio hit me like a wave from the moment I stepped into the city.

I managed to find myself in the middle of the Carnival parade, standing on the sidelines with my jaw on the floor. The music was so rhytmic, dancers lit up the streets, and for a moment, I forgot everything else.

One morning, I took a helicopter ride over the city, the coastline curved like a painting, with mountains rising through the mist and neighborhoods stretching out like patchwork. Later that day, I stood beneath Christ the Redeemer, humbled, taking in the view I'd only ever seen in photos.

I lost track of time moving between sun, sea, and street food. Rio didn’t feel like a visit. It felt like a celebration and I was lucky to be part of.

Where and when it started

We met in Oslo in the spring of 2022. Two strangers with different roots, one from Burundi and the other from Poland.

Samuel had a background in entrepreneurship, having co-founded companies like InMarket AS and Packoorang, served on the boards of NOF and Oslo Hiking, and studied Administration and Leadership. Anna carried rich experience in travel and guiding others as a flight attendant, dance school instructor, hotel host, and Special Olympics coach for children.

What started as a conversation soon turned into a shared vision: to create meaningful and personalized travel experiences that connect people to places in a more human way.

a New challange

After we met, life took us in different directions, yet our shared passion for travel kept growing.

Ania moved to Dubai, where she worked as a flight attendant for Emirates. Her journey took her across five continents and to over 40 countries, gaining a deep understanding of global cultures and hospitality.

Meanwhile, Samuel continued exploring the beauty of Norway through road trips and backpacking adventures, finding inspiration in nature and simplicity.

Between 2022 and 2024, we traveled to eight countries together and visited more than 50 countries individually.

‍Dublin: This is where the initial idea of Envaya came to life. The rainy skies couldn’t wash away the charm of the city, and we were inspired by the warm and welcoming people who insisted we try a pint of Guinness.

‍Brussels: A short visit to a peaceful city where history whispers from every corner. It was the perfect place for slow walks, reflection, and meaningful conversations.

‍Zakopane: A special place for reconnecting with Ania’s heritage. Nestled in the Polish mountains and full of tradition, it offered a deep sense of home and belonging.

‍Sri Lanka: This journey confirmed our desire to turn Envaya into a reality - not just for us, but for travelers longing to explore different cultures and societies.

Testing the concept

Our first real test of the concept came in Zanzibar, where we went on an exploration of the island to see how a well-crafted travel experience could feel from start to finish.

We rode water scooters across turquoise waters, visited the historical Prison Island, and relaxed on the stunning sands of Nakupenda Beach.

We stayed at the Riu Palace Resort with all-inclusive service, where the nights were filled with music that carried us away and food that left a lasting impression.

After this trip, something clicked. We knew this was more than just an idea, it was something we had to pursue. That’s when we decided to truly go for it and build Envaya Travel.

Finally Envaya

The idea behind Envaya truly came together during our trip to Hurghada, our last journey before fully committing to building something bigger than ourselves. It was there, between the desert heat and the calm of the Red Sea, that we found clarity.

This journey had been fulfilling, educational, and at times, challenging. But above all, it confirmed our purpose.

‍Envaya comes from two words:
‍“En” (Enter) and “Vaya” (Go)
Together, they form “Enter the Journey.”
